Job Title: Textile Engineer (Saree Construction & Weaving Technology) Location: Visakhapatnam Experience Required: 3–8+ Years About the Role: Onliest LLC is seeking a highly skilled Textile Engineer with a strong foundation in weaving construction, saree architecture, and loom-based design systems. The ideal candidate will combine technical textile expertise with practical production experience, enabling the development of scalable and repeatable saree designs using modern and traditional weaving technologies. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement weaving construction logic for sarees, including body, border, and blouse sections Design and build modular saree architecture with repeatable and scalable design systems Translate design concepts into loom-ready formats using CAD and jacquard programming Analyze and optimize warp and weft behavior for desired fabric outcomes Plan and execute pick structures (body vs border vs blouse zones) Evaluate loom feasibility and select appropriate weaving technologies Collaborate closely with weavers, mills, and production teams for sampling and execution Ensure fabric quality, weight distribution, and structural balance Troubleshoot design and production challenges, leveraging hands-on experience Required Skills & Competencies: Strong foundation in Textile Engineering or Textile Design, with in-depth knowledge of weaving principles and fabric construction Expertise in weaving construction and logic thinking, including clear understanding of: Warp vs Weft behavior Weave structures and fabric performance Saree and border construction methodologies Proficient in loom technologies and feasibility assessment, including: Jacquard, Dobby (electronic), and traditional looms Ability to evaluate loom suitability for specific designs Understanding of loom behavior and limitations Hands-on experience in CAD and loom translation (Non-Negotiable): NedGraphics Textronics Jacquard programming Ability to convert designs into production-ready loom instructions Strong technical knowledge of warp setup and pick planning, including: Yarn counts, tension control, and border separation Structuring body, border, and blouse sections In-depth understanding of fabric behavior and material sensitivity, including: Balance between weave, structure, and weight distribution India-specific saree construction systems and constraints Ability to develop repeatable design logic and build modular saree architecture Proven experience working with weavers, textile mills, and production teams Practical exposure to sampling, production cycles, and troubleshooting failures in weaving Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to bridge design concepts and production execution Preferred Qualifications: Experience in luxury or high-end textile design Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset Ability to bridge design, engineering, and production Interested can share their resume to careers@onliestworld.com
