We’re looking for a Data Analytics Engineer to join our Data team and help us shape the data ecosystem in the company. About Us Cookie Information and Piwik PRO are leading SaaS companies specializing in privacy-first compliance and analytics. Together, we’re building intuitive, user-friendly products that help organizations navigate data privacy and marketing insights. You will join a small, newly formed Data team consisting of one other Data Analytics Engineer and one Data Analyst. The Role Day-to-day, you will work closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will act as the owner of data integrity and play a key role in the growth and development of our data infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage datasets in a modern data warehouse environment (we use BigQuery). Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines using dbt. Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries for various analytical needs. Take independent ownership of data quality and data integrity across the data warehouse, proactively identifying inconsistencies, monitoring data reliability, and driving improvements at the source. Collaborate with engineers and other internal stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, accessibility, and relevance. Analyze and interpret complex datasets to support strategic business initiatives. Build interactive and insightful data visualizations and dashboards using Looker Studio. Document analytical processes and methodologies to ensure reproducibility and clarity. About You A minimum of 2 years hands-on experience in a Data Analytics Engineer or related analytics role, ideally within SaaS or ecommerce environments. Solid background in using modern data warehouse platforms, such as BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake, or similar technologies, including querying, performance tuning, and data modeling. Practical experience building and maintaining data transformation pipelines using dbt or similar tools (e.g. Dataform). Ability to develop and maintain Python-based pipelines (e.g. dlt) and data transformations for ingestion into the data warehouse. Proven ability to translate complex data insights into clear business actions, aligning analytical work with broader company objectives. Fluent command of English, both written and spoken (C1). It would also be great if you have Experience in visual analytics with tools like Power BI and Looker Studio, capable of building impactful dashboards and reports. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one.
