We are experiencing significant growth and seek a MIG and Stick welder to join our team. Role Description Experienced MIG and stick welder to weld with mild steel, stainless and various other high grade alloys. Minimum 3-5 years of experience required welding similar materials and must have the ability to layout workpieces per mechanical drawings. Must be able to read mechanical assembly drawings, set up own welding machine, use hand and power tools common to welder. Will be trained to use the company’s ERP system on a tablet in order to process completed work. Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements Fully site based at IGE's manufacturing facility & headquarters in Westmont, IL. The facility is a 3-minute walk from the Westmont BNSF Metra train station. Qualifications Experience with steel fabrication and welding (Stick & MIG, stainless steel welding) Ability to read blueprints or mechanical drawings to set up & weld parts Ability to use electric hoist to raise and lower parts to worktable Ability to use hand plasma cutter Effective communication skills Welding certification a plus but not required What we offer IGE offers a comprehensive benefits program as a commitment to you, so you can be your best at work and beyond. The pay range takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
