Description About the Role We are looking for a Senior Database Developer to act as the primary execution-focused data engineer for our Care Connect (CC) Reporting data warehouse. This role is crucial for our upcoming Messenger product integration. You will be responsible for driving the data mapping from source systems to the Data Warehouse, implementing the warehouse tables, and writing the SSIS synchronization code. The environment relies on on-premise SQL Server and SSIS, and we are looking for a developer who excels in this specific tech stack to ensure seamless daily batch integrations. Requirements Qualifications & Requirements Experience Level: 5 or more years of relevant experience (Senior Engineer I or II). Technical Expertise: Deep, execution-focused expertise in on-premise Microsoft SQL Server and SSIS. Architecture & Design: Ability to implement Data Warehouse structures and robust ETL pipelines (no strict requirement for enterprise-level Star/Snowflake architecture design, but strong execution of DW principles is expected). Source Integration: Experience extracting and synchronizing data from flat files and SQL Server databases. Communication: Excellent ability to interface with non-technical stakeholders and Product Managers to define technical specifications and mapping rules from scratch. AI Tooling: Openness to working in an environment that utilizes modern AI developer tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude). Job responsibilities Key Responsibilities Data Mapping & Translation: Work directly with the Product Manager and source system development teams to define mapping rules, utilizing strong business acumen to translate operational data into reporting structures. Warehouse Implementation: Design and implement the CC Reporting data warehouse tables within an on-premise SQL Server environment. ETL/Synchronization Pipeline: Build, optimize, and maintain SSIS code for data synchronization between operational databases (SQL Server DBs and flat files) and the CC Reporting data warehouse. Optimization: Manage a 10 to 20 GB data scale, currently running on a daily overnight batch sync, with the potential to explore and implement more frequent synchronization schedules. Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve customer issues related to existing CC Reporting data synchronization installs and execution. Agile Workflow: Document features and track support tickets in Rally (moving to Jira), participating in weekly reviews and quarterly roadmap planning.
