NetApp is seeking a motivated Senior Professional Services Engineer to join a global 24x7 Storage Operations team supporting Platform and Managed Services customers. This role provides Level 3 support, including incident response, service requests, problem management, infrastructure improvements, and ONTAP upgrades. Job Requirements NetApp Skills - Experienced in deploying and administering NetApp storage (CDOT and 7-Mode), including troubleshooting performance issues, performing firmware/OS upgrades, Cluster Switches, SAN Fabric switches, and using management tools such as OnCommand Unified Manager, Performance Manager, and ActiveIQ. - Strong understanding of storage protocols and technologies (CIFS, NFS, iSCSI, Fibre Channel). - Proficient in NetApp concepts: snapshots, controller failover, provisioning, deduplication, cloning, SnapMirror, IntelliSnap, administration, monitoring, replication, security hardening, and performance tuning. - Knowledge of NetApp cloud and hybrid solutions, including CVO, StorageGrid, E‑Series, Cloud Backup, DII, Data classification, and 1st-party cloud like Amazon FSxN for ONTAP. - Cloud certifications (Hybrid Cloud Administrator, Implementation Engineer) are advantageous. - Experience with NetApp Cluster deployment, storage backup, and disaster-recovery testing. Other Key Technologies (Preferred) - Knowledge of Trident, Trident Protect, OpenShift, and OpenStack. - Understanding of monitoring platforms like Logic Monitor, WANs, SANs, and DR technologies. - Experience with Windows Server and related Microsoft technologies, including monitoring, troubleshooting, administration, and security hardening. - Understanding of compute, virtualization, and networking technologies (Flex Pod, Cisco UCS, IBM Blade Center, VMware vSphere, Commvault). - Experience with Linux system administration. - Ability to support cloud infrastructure (storage, networking, servers, VMware) and object storage APIs such as S3. Cloud & Hyperscalers (Nice to Have) - Knowledge of GCP, Azure, or AWS. - Associate- or Professional-level cloud certifications are a plus. Education Process & Soft Skills - Fluency in Spanish and English is required, with strong verbal and written communication skills. - Basic understanding of AI and Generative AI technologies, with the ability to leverage AI-assisted tools to improve troubleshooting, documentation, operational efficiency, and customer support outcomes. - Serve as the lead resource for delivery teams, acting as an escalation point and tracking project status. - Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. - Positive, proactive, and team-oriented approach. - Ability to deliver customer training through ad hoc knowledge transfer or structured demonstrations. - Knowledge of ITIL processes (change, incident, problem, and configuration management). - Understanding of outsourcing/managed services and the cloud industry. Education Typically requires a minimum of 8+ years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree or 6+ years and a master’s degree; or a PhD with relevant professional experience; or an equivalent combination of professional education/training and applicable work experience.
