We are an international technology scale-up in a strong growth phase, building our own product with a strong focus on Artificial Intelligence, Data and Automation . Our mission is to transform the way people invest in Real Estate by combining AI, advanced analytics and technology . Operating across multiple international markets, we are entering a key stage of growth where Artificial Intelligence will become a core pillar of both our product and engineering strategy . What will you do? We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer who thinks like an owner, not a ticket-taker. This is a cross-functional role : you’ll work on complex projects across multiple teams with a high level of autonomy, taking ideas from a high-level problem statement through to production. You’ll have the experience to design and defend backend architecture , along with the product mindset to understand why we’re building something, not just what we’re building. This is a hands-on role where you’ll have a meaningful impact on both the product and the engineering team. You’ll help raise the technical bar and contribute to improving how we build, including the use of AI-assisted workflows and internal tools that help the team work more efficiently. Key responsibilities: Own features end-to-end: from architectural decision to production, including the trade-offs, the edge cases, and the follow-through. Design and defend backend architecture: event-driven systems on AWS, built to be resilient, cost-aware, and scalable. Contribute across the frontend in our React / Next.js ecosystem when the work calls for it. Build our AI-augmented development practice, not by asking an AI to "write this feature," but by understanding the full development loop and building the internal agents, tooling, and workflows that make the whole team faster. Raise the bar for the engineers around you through mentorship, code review, and the patterns you establish. Move with a bias for action: ship, learn, iterate. Requirements: Engineering leadership: Influencing technical roadmaps, setting standards, and mentoring other engineers. A strong backend engineer with proven Node.js experience designing scalable, event-driven architectures and structuring well-modeled databases. SST (v3) is a massive plus. AWS expertise: especially in designing scalable, event-driven cloud architectures, with a strong understanding of distributed systems, serverless patterns, APIs, messaging, observability and data architecture. A genuine owner: you take a problem from an ambiguous idea to a shipped product and you're comfortable adapting as priorities shift with demand in a fast-growing startup. You already use AI in your daily engineering flow and have opinions about where it helps and where it doesn't. Fluent in Spanish and English. Bonus points Frontend: production-grade experience with React.js/Next.js building complex, performant UIs, components, etc. Not occasional screens. Experience building LLM-based agents, skills, and rules , or developer tooling and orchestrating them into real workflows. Experience working with design systems. Hands-on experience building and integrating solutions on top of the HubSpot platform, leveraging its CRM, APIs, and automation features. Early-stage / startup experience where you wore many hats. What we offer: Competitive salary package. Flexible remuneration plan (health insurance, meal vouchers, transport, childcare). Hybrid work model with flexibility . Flexible working hours , focused on ownership and outcomes. 23 days of paid vacation . Gympass membership: discounts on sports and wellness activities. Training and development opportunities . International, fast-growing product environment. Direct impact on product and business decisions. Modern tech stack with real autonomy to propose improvements. Agile culture, strong technical team, and quality-driven mindset. That number is real. WorkMundi's database shows 144,883 open engineer roles across the world. India has the most with 31,687 jobs, followed by the United States with 30,084. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
