Job Description The Asia Pacific Schools, in partnership with The International Schools Partnership (ISP), equips students for local and global success by delivering Amazing Learning and offers both the international and Malaysian National curricula in the Klang Valley, Malaysia. We are currently seeking to hire one KSSM English teacher to join us on September 2026 to teach KSSM English to our Secondary students in our National School. Key Responsibilities General Follow the policies and practices which reflect the school’s commitment to high achievement, amazing learning and effective feedback Establish a clear understanding of the importance and role of the subject in contributing to students’ spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development, and in preparing students for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of the modern world Use data effectively to identify students who are underachieving in the subject and, where necessary, create and implement effective plans of action to support those students To work effectively as a Homeroom Teacher to an assigned class Curriculum Ensure curriculum coverage, continuity and progression in the subject for all students, including those of high ability and those with special educational or linguistic needs Ensure effective development of students’ literacy, numeracy and information technology skills through the subject Set high expectations for students in relation to progress and achievement Ensure effective development of students’ individual and collaborative study skills necessary for them to become increasingly independent in their work and to complete tasks independently when out of school Establish a partnership with parents and carers to involve them in their child’s learning of the subject, as well as providing information about curriculum, attainment, progress and targets Communication, marketing and PR To ensure professional and effective communication and consultation, as appropriate, between colleagues, parents and students at Asia Pacific Schools Publicise and celebrate achievements Assist with the organisation of open evenings, consultation events and other events relating to the school To contribute to marketing activities for Asia Pacific Schools (Please note that this Job Description sets out the main duties associated with the stated purpose of the post. Skills, Qualifications And Experience Possess relevant a Bachelor’s Degree in Education with relevant specialisation or a Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field with a Postgraduate Diploma/Degree in Teaching/Education Candidate who is currently teaching KSSM English with minimum two (2) years of full-time teaching experience is preferred Candidate who is able to teach another subject like Literature in English or any other relevant subject is encouraged to apply Computer literate with good interpersonal communication skills Fluency in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia Person specification Patient, responsible, and passionate about teaching A team player and flexible to meet the needs of the department Must be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people they are responsible for or come into contact with ISP Core Competencies You consistently demonstrate and role-model the ISP Core Competencies in all that you do.
