About You You are a Senior Full Stack Developer with a strong backend focus who enjoys building scalable, cloud-native applications using TypeScript across the entire stack. While you'll contribute across both frontend and backend development, your primary focus will be designing and building robust serverless backend services while delivering modern React user experiences. You thrive working within established architectures, quickly understanding existing codebases and delivering production-ready solutions with minimal supervision. You take ownership of your work, write clean and maintainable code, and believe software quality is everyone's responsibility. You are proactive, analytical, and collaborative, enjoying close partnerships with cross-functional teams while actively contributing to Agile ceremonies and continuously improving engineering practices. You Bring to Applaudo the Following Competencies 5+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack Software Developer or Software Engineer. Strong experience developing production applications using TypeScript across both frontend and backend. Strong experience building modern web applications with React . Strong backend development experience using Node.js . Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs using OpenAPI . Experience implementing schema validation using Zod or similar libraries. Experience building serverless applications using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB . Strong understanding of DynamoDB Single-Table Design and access-pattern modeling. Experience provisioning infrastructure using AWS CDK or similar Infrastructure as Code tools. Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and code quality tools. Experience writing automated unit tests using Vitest or similar frameworks. Familiarity with automated testing using Playwright , Postman , or similar tools. Experience working with modern React technologies such as TanStack Router/Query , Mantine UI , Zustand , or similar libraries. Understanding of secure coding practices involving sensitive customer information (PII/PCI). Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Self-driven with the ability to work independently while contributing effectively within Agile teams. Advanced English communication skills, both written and spoken. You Will Be Accountable for the Following Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using TypeScript across React frontend and Node.js backend services. Build and enhance cloud-native, serverless applications using AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and AWS CDK. Develop modern React user interfaces using established frontend patterns and component libraries. Design efficient DynamoDB data models using Single-Table Design and optimized access patterns. Develop secure and scalable RESTful APIs following OpenAPI specifications and implement schema validation using Zod. Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following established engineering standards and best practices. Create comprehensive unit tests while supporting automated API and end-to-end testing initiatives when needed. Participate in code reviews while ensuring high standards for quality, performance, maintainability, and security. Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and continuously improve application reliability. Collaborate closely with software engineers, architects, product owners, and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle. Actively participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement. Take ownership of the solutions you build from implementation through deployment and production support. Nice to Have Experience with SQL Server. Experience with Amazon EventBridge.
