Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Textile Designer role located in Umm Al Quwain. The Textile Designer will develop original textile patterns and prints for various applications, including apparel, home textiles, and decorative fabrics. Day-to-day tasks include creating design concepts, preparing artwork and technical files, selecting color palettes, and adapting designs to different materials and production methods. The role also involves collaborating with instructors and team members, providing input on curriculum projects, ensuring designs meet quality and brand standards, and staying current with market trends in textiles and graphics. The Textile Designer may also support presentations, sample development, and coordination with production or printing vendors. Qualifications Strong skills in Embroidery and Textile Prints, with the ability to create detailed, production-ready designs. Solid understanding of Textiles, including fabric types, textures, and surface design techniques. Proficiency in Graphics and Graphic Design for textile applications, using relevant design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop). Relevant education in Textile Design, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Ability to translate concepts into marketable designs, with attention to color, composition, and technical constraints. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in an on-site team environment. Detail-oriented approach, time management skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines. Familiarity with printing processes, fabric sourcing, and trend research in textiles is an advantage.
