Role Overview: We are seeking experienced Apigee Developer's to design, develop, and manage APIs that power our digital banking ecosystem. The role involves building secure, scalable, and high-performance APIs using Google Apigee while ensuring compliance with banking security and governance standards. You will work closely with business, digital, and architecture teams to enable seamless integrations across mobile, internet banking, partner systems, and core banking platforms. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and deploy RESTful APIs using Google Apigee Edge / Apigee X. Implement API proxies, shared flows, and policies (security, traffic management, mediation, transformation). Integrate APIs with core banking systems, CRM, payment gateways, and third-party partners. Apply OAuth 2.0, JWT, and API Key security mechanisms as per banking standards. Collaborate with backend and frontend teams to define clear API contracts (OpenAPI / Swagger). Implement API analytics, logging, and monitoring to ensure performance and reliability. Participate in CI/CD automation for API deployments using Jenkins, Git, or similar tools. Support API lifecycle management, including versioning, documentation, and deprecation. Troubleshoot API and integration issues in lower and production environments. Ensure compliance with Open Banking, data privacy, and security regulations (RBI / PCI DSS). Required Skills & Experience: Experience with 1-3 years hands-on in Apigee (Edge or X). Strong knowledge of RESTful API design, OpenAPI/Swagger, and microservices architecture. Proficient in JavaScript, Node.js, or Python for Apigee custom scripts and policies. Experience with OAuth 2.0, JWT, SAML, and mTLS configurations. Solid understanding of banking domain integrations (payments, customer onboarding, loan systems, etc.). Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and API deployment automation. Experience with Kubernetes-based environments. Strong debugging, analytical, and performance tuning skills. Good to Have: Experience in Open Banking or API monetization initiatives. Familiarity with API developer portals, API analytics, and policy templates. Exposure to event-driven architecture (Kafka / PubSub). Working knowledge of MuleSoft, Kong, or AWS API Gateway. Google Cloud or Apigee certification preferred.
