About the role We are seeking a Senior Storage Engineer to lead platform efforts of a global enterprise storage environment supporting critical business systems across multiple regions. This role is responsible for the design, administration, optimization, and lifecycle management of storage, data protection, and storage networking technologies. The successful candidate will serve as a senior technical resource for storage infrastructure, balancing operational excellence with project delivery, strategic planning, and continuous improvement initiatives. This individual will be expected to proactively manage performance, capacity, resiliency, and operational risk while maintaining clear documentation and sharing knowledge across the broader infrastructure organization. Job location Warsaw, Poland Hybrid model / onsite for 3 days per week Key responsibilities -Lead and manage enterprise storage platforms across multiple global locations -Design, implement, and support storage solutions for file, object, and block-based workloads -Administer and support: 20+ cluster, multi PB global NetApp ONTAP and NetApp StorageGRID estate Pure Storage FlashArray, Pure Storage FlashBlade Dell Data Domain Brocade SAN infrastructure NFS, SMB/CIFS, S3/Object Storage -Lead storage-related projects including upgrades, migrations, hardware refreshes, platform expansions, and architecture improvements -Analyze and resolve complex performance issues across storage, network, virtualization, and application layers -Monitor storage utilization and growth trends, ensuring capacity requirements are understood and addressed before they impact service delivery -Recommend and execute action plans that prevent problems before they happen. Understand risks associated with storage efficiencies and storage platforms. -Develop and maintain operational standards, architecture documentation, procedures, and knowledge repositories -Collaborate effectively with infrastructure, platform, security, and application teams to deliver reliable storage services -Identify opportunities for automation, operational simplification, and AI-assisted workflows that improve efficiency and service quality Required Qualifications -8+ years of enterprise storage engineering experience -Strong experience with modern NetApp systems, supporting NAS, SAN, object -Experience with enterprise backup and recovery platforms -Understanding of storage performance analysis, troubleshooting, and optimization -Proven experience managing storage capacity planning and lifecycle management -Experience leading infrastructure projects from planning through implementation -Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills -Strong understanding of data protection concepts including backup, replication, retention, recovery, and cyber-resilience Preferred Qualifications -Experience with StorageGRID object storage environments -Experience with Pure Storage FlashArray and FlashBlade platforms -Experience with Dell Data Domain and other Dell backup systems -Netapp Fabricpool, Storagegrid, replication, Snaplock -Experience with scripting, automation, and infrastructure-as-code practices -Experience with Rubrik backup and recovery platforms -Experience with Nutanix AHV -Experience with NetApp Autonomous Ransomware Protection (ARP) and related ONTAP security features Goals -Storage services remain stable, performant, and well understood -Capacity and performance risks are identified and addressed before they become incidents -Projects are delivered with strong operational planning and execution -Documentation remains accurate, current, and useful -Technical knowledge is shared openly, improving the effectiveness of the broader engineering team -The storage environment becomes increasingly automated, observable, and operationally efficient
