Role Overview An international financial services company is looking for a Financial Analyst to join its Cape Town team . The role involves conducting financial assessments, verifying client information, analysing credit risk, and preparing reports for the international underwriting team with local operational support. Key Responsibilities Review and analyse prospective client documentation, bank statements, and credit reports to support lending decisions. Evaluate incoming financial applications for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established credit policies. Conduct background research on applicant businesses to verify financial stability and creditworthiness. Track application progress and manage client documentation to ensure service level agreements are consistently met. Coordinate with internal sales and credit assessment teams to drive applications smoothly through to final approval. Ensure full alignment with regulatory compliance standards and international lending guidelines throughout the evaluation process. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Dedicated, organised, and eager to learn and grow professionally. Strong verbal and written communication, with excellent interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent organisational, planning, and time management skills. Able to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
