The Opportunity Reporting to the Manager, Financial Accountant, as the Financial & Statutory Reporting Accountant Colombia, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial and statutory reporting activities for the Colombian entity. You will support month-end close, statutory compliance, financial reporting, internal controls, and audit requirements while maintaining alignment with corporate policies, IFRS standards, and local regulations. Through close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external service providers, You will contribute to sound financial governance and informed business decision-making. This is a hybrid role, requiring three (3) days of onsite work weekly. The Role Coordinate and deliver assigned accounting and close activities in accordance with close calendars, company policy and local statutory requirements, including preparation of standard journals, balance sheet reconciliations and review of business journals, with escalation of complex or non-standard items as required. Manage any local electronic interfaces (if applicable) and deal with related activities including daily management of sales and vendor invoices, dealing with issues in process flow and coordinating all necessary enhancement activities and projects. Drive the implementation and operation of the internal financial controls framework. Support internal audit activities and implementation of identified remediations. Coordinate external audit activities at entity level, ensuring timely provision of requested documentation, tracking audit requests, and escalating significant judgment areas, disagreements or delays to the Accounting to Report Manager in line with governance protocols. Apply technical accounting knowledge to support entity-level reporting and close activities, identifying areas requiring interpretation or judgment and escalating technical conclusions for review and approval where appropriate. Deliver assigned month-end close activities in line with the group close timetable, including ERP reconciliations and variance analysis, identifying and escalating risks, delays, or exceptions in a timely manner. Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and tax requirements applicable to the relevant countries/entities, as well as adherence to company policies and standards. Support accounting operations activities outside of the Account to Report function when required, including Accounts Payable, Tax, and Treasury processes, ensuring compliance with local regulations and internal controls. Identify opportunities for process efficiency improvements and control enhancements arising from close activities and day-to-day accounting operations, providing recommendations and impact assessments. Support balance sheet planning activities in collaboration with Finance Business Partners and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) teams to facilitate indirect cash flow preparation and submission of entity planning information to Group Consolidation through the ERP system. Your Skills & Abilities Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3-5 years of relevant experience in financial accounting, financial reporting, audit, or controllership environments. Required fluency in Spanish and English, oral and written, to include the ability to read and write emails and communicate effectively with global colleagues. Experience supporting month-end close, statutory reporting, reconciliations, and external audits. Knowledge of IFRS and Colombian statutory accounting requirements. Experience with SAP, BlackLine, and corporate reporting tools is preferred. Experience in multinational organizations or shared service environments is desirable. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Solid accounting judgment and attention to detail. Ability to communicate financial information clearly to different stakeholders. Strong understanding of financial close, reporting, compliance, and audit processes. Ability to prioritize effectively and meet critical deadlines. Continuous improvement mindset and strong control awareness. Effective stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
