We’re looking for Senior Data Engineers with strong experience in data analysis, data science, or data engineering , skilled in turning raw data into reliable insights and scalable pipelines. What you’ll build and own Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and workflows that support analytics, reporting, and modelling needs. Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights for the business. Build, validate, and maintain statistical or machine learning models to solve business problems. Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across sources and pipelines. Design and maintain data models, schemas, and warehouses that support scalable analytics. Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business questions into data solutions and clear reporting. Contribute to data best practices and continuous improvement initiatives across projects. Participate in requirement reviews and help identify data risks early in the development process. Core Requirements 5+ years of experience in Data Analysis, Data Science, or Data Engineering. Strong experience with SQL and working with relational and/or NoSQL databases. Hands-on experience with a programming language such as Python, R, or similar. Experience building or maintaining data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, or data warehouses. Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar. Ability to translate business questions into clear, data-driven analysis and recommendations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment. Nice-to-Have Experience with big data or cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure, Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar. Experience with machine learning frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch. Programming experience with data orchestration tools such as Airflow, dbt, or similar. AI-forward mindset with active use of AI-assisted tools for data analysis, coding, or modelling (e.g., Claude, Copilot, Cursor). Experience contributing to data strategy or quality initiatives at a senior level. Comfortable working flexible hours to overlap with distributed teams across different time zones. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
