Help build the future of sovereign cloud infrastructure At Kumorion, we help cloud service providers, enterprises and data centers build and operate secure, scalable and sovereign cloud infrastructure. Our automation-first approach enables reliable operations and scalable day 2 infrastructure management. We believe infrastructure should be automated, repeatable and easy to operate at scale. We are now looking for a Cloud Engineer to join our Kubernetes Services team. In this role, you will help build, automate and operate Kubernetes platforms used in demanding production environments. You will work with cloud-native technologies, infrastructure automation and platform engineering practices to create reliable and scalable services that enable our customers to focus on their own business. This is an opportunity to work on challenging infrastructure problems, collaborate with experienced engineers and contribute to the development of Kumorion’s Kubernetes service offering. What you'll do Design, develop and maintain services and APIs for provisioning, scaling, and lifecycle management of Kubernetes clusters. Build automation for cluster upgrades, patching, backup/restore and self-healing across multi-tenant environments. Develop Kubernetes operators, controllers and custom resources (CRDs) to extend platform capabilities. Implement observability (metrics, logging, tracing), alerting and SLO-driven reliability practices. Develop automation that improves reliability, scalability and operational efficiency of CI/CD pipelines. Build and maintain infrastructure as code and GitOps based workflows. What we're looking for We know that excellent engineers come from different backgrounds and experiences. You may be a great fit if you have: Experience working with Kubernetes and containerized environments. Experience with at least one cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, OpenStack or similar. Experience developing software or automation using Go, Python, TypeScript or another modern programming language. Experience with infrastructure as code, automation and DevOps practices. Familiarity with tools such as Terraform, Ansible, ArgoCD and CI/CD platforms. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with others. Professional working proficiency in English. The following are beneficial but not required: Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA). Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD). Experience operating production Kubernetes platforms. That number is real. WorkMundi's database shows 144,883 open engineer roles across the world. India has the most with 31,687 jobs, followed by the United States with 30,084. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
