We are looking for a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our MBS (Mortgage-Backed Securities) Risk & Pricing Technology team. The role focuses on development, enhancement of critical risk and pricing systems used by the business. The ideal candidate will have a strong technology background, solid problem-solving skills, and an interest in Fixed Income risk and pricing. This role requires hands-on ownership of production systems, contributing to ongoing development and enhancement projects as well as issue investigation, resolution, and continuous improvement. Candidate will be involved in monitoring production systems once fully ramped up. Responsibilities: Contribute to development efforts, including enhancements, automation, and system improvements. (80%) Collaborate with business users and technology teams to understand requirements and deliver reliable solutions. Improve system stability, performance, and operational efficiency through automation and tooling. Participate in release deployment, testing, and production rollout activities. Ensure high-quality standards and controls are maintained in a fast-paced environment. Being included in the weekly team rotation of production system monitoring (20%) Analyze production issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable fixes and improvements. Continuously learn financial products, business workflows, and new technologies. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing clear updates on issues and deliverables. Skills Required: Strong programming experience in Python Experience with scripting languages (Shell scripting) Experience with data analysis and querying (e.g., Sybase, SQL, Excel) Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities Preferred: C++ OR Java programming skills and experience Knowledge of Fixed Income products, especially MBS Experience supporting production systems, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis Understanding of risk and pricing systems Experience with KDB+/Q or functional programming Familiarity with manual and automated testing Experience with AI assisted coding Experience with Perl scripting languages
