How You Will Make An Impact As an Automation Developer within our Professional Services team, you will be a key technical leader and trusted advisor for our clients. You will partner closely with our Intelligent Automation Consultants and clients to understand business challenges, define robust technical requirements, and architect/develop sophisticated Blue Prism automations. A critical aspect of this role involves not only delivering high-quality solutions but also acting as a Blue Prism evangelist, consulting with customers on best practices, identifying further automation opportunities, and empowering their teams to expand their intelligent automation capabilities effectively. Client Project Delivery & Technical Excellence: Architect, design, develop, and implement robust and scalable Blue Prism automations adhering to our best practices and development standards. Translate business requirements into accurate and detailed technical designs. Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring adherence to standards, and manage defect resolution efficiently. Provide 2nd line technical support for complex issues related to deployed customer automations. Manage development tasks, ensuring timely delivery and reporting progress effectively. Ensure automations and Agents we manage internally run on a regular basis Report of the effectiveness of Agents we are managing and determine ways to be more efficient and to communicate better with our customers. Develop and support Blue Prism Workflow, RPA & Agent processes with high-quality Python applications using modern frameworks and libraries. Technical Leadership, Quality & Best Practices: Take accountability for the technical quality and architectural soundness of automations delivered on assigned projects. Be a part of client, partner, or internal development teams on projects, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence, and specification compliance. Perform rigorous Quality Assurance (QA) reviews on peer developers' automations. Actively contribute to the definition, refinement, and dissemination of Blue Prism development standards and best practices internally and externally. Champion and share reusable automation components and configurations via the Blue Prism Digital Exchange. Internal Contribution & Platform Advancement: Identify, design, and develop automation solutions for internal Professional Services processes. Participate actively in the testing and feedback process for new Blue Prism product releases and features. Contribute to the technical enablement and upskilling of other internal Blue Prism teams. Required Experience Required Experience & Qualifications: Minimum 3 years overall software development experience. Proven experience leading software delivery projects or significant contributions to large implementations. Blue Prism Certified Developer accreditation Blue Prism Certified Professional Developer, Solution Designer, or ROM Architect (Highly Desired). Strong foundation in Python programming, Object-Oriented Programming (OOPs) principles, and project structuring. Excellent communication skills in both Spanish and English are mandatory. Blue Prism Expertise is a Plus: Understanding and hands-on Blue Prism development experience is a plus. Understanding and practical application of Blue Prism core features (Control Room, Work Queues, Credentials, Exceptions, Logging, etc.). Grasp of Blue Prism technical infrastructure requirements and deployment considerations. Technical Skills: Python Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python 3.x, with a strong understanding of OOPs principles, project structuring, and asynchronous programming. Troubleshoot and debug Python applications. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Understanding of relational databases and SQL (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle). Understanding of Web Services (REST/SOAP) and API integration. Consulting & Client Engagement: Good client-facing skills with ability to act as a trusted technical advisor. Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to diverse audiences and creating high-quality documentation. Demonstrated ability to understand client needs/challenges, assess their automation journey, identify roadblocks, and co-create actionable plans with defined outcomes. Must be proficient in English and Spanish. Project Delivery & Problem Solving: Logical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities with a methodical approach.
