Electrical Engineer – High-Voltage and Industrial Power Systems Ravona LTD • Full-time • Modi’in-Maccabim-Reut, Center District, Israel • On-site About Ravona Ravona LTD is an Israeli engineering and manufacturing company specializing in advanced equipment for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical, chemical, and cosmetics industries. About the Role We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Electrical Engineer specializing in high-voltage and industrial power systems to join our engineering team. The position includes the design, specification, integration, supervision, testing, and commissioning of electrical power and control systems for complex industrial and pharmaceutical equipment. The Electrical Engineer will work closely with mechanical engineering, automation, R&D, production, quality, project management, suppliers, subcontractors, and international customers. Key Responsibilities Design high-voltage, medium-voltage, and low-voltage power distribution systems for industrial applications. Prepare electrical load calculations, single-line diagrams, cable-sizing calculations, short-circuit calculations, and protection-coordination studies. Design and specify transformers, switchgear, electrical panels, MCCs, circuit breakers, generators, UPS systems, VFDs, and power-distribution equipment. Design grounding, bonding, electrical protection, emergency-power, and electrical-safety systems. Prepare electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, cable lists, terminal plans, and Bills of Materials. Develop electrical designs using SolidWorks Electrical 2D and 3D . Integrate power systems with PLCs, HMIs, instrumentation, sensors, motors, heaters, pneumatic systems, HVAC systems, and safety circuits. Define electrical interfaces between Ravona equipment, customer infrastructure, and third-party machines. Select electrical components according to technical, environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements. Prepare technical specifications and requirements for electrical-panel manufacturers, suppliers, and subcontractors. Review and approve supplier drawings, electrical panels, components, and technical documentation. Ensure compliance with applicable Israeli electrical regulations, IEC standards, customer requirements, and internal engineering procedures. Support panel manufacturing, machine wiring, assembly, troubleshooting, and electrical testing. Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), installation, and commissioning. Perform or supervise electrical tests and high-voltage activities within the limits of the engineer’s applicable licence and legal authorization. Investigate electrical faults and implement corrective engineering solutions. Manage engineering changes, drawing revisions, and electrical documentation. Support customers during technical reviews, qualification activities, installation, and after-sales service. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering — mandatory. Registration and a valid Israeli electrical licence appropriate to the responsibilities and voltage levels of the position — mandatory. At least 5 years of professional experience designing industrial power or high-voltage electrical systems. Proven experience with high-voltage or medium-voltage distribution, transformers, switchgear, protection systems, and industrial electrical panels. Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks Electrical 2D and 3D — mandatory . Strong knowledge of electrical calculations, cable sizing, circuit protection, selectivity, grounding, and short-circuit analysis. Ability to read, create, and review single-line diagrams, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts. Knowledge of industrial control systems, motors, VFDs, sensors, instrumentation, and safety circuits. Practical experience supporting panel manufacturing, equipment wiring, testing, and commissioning. Ability to take responsibility for an electrical system from initial concept through installation and final acceptance. Excellent technical English, including reading and writing — mandatory. Good written and spoken Hebrew. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team. Willingness to support installation and commissioning activities and travel when required. Preferred Qualifications Experience with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical-device, cleanroom, or process equipment. Familiarity with GMP requirements and validated equipment. Experience designing electrical systems for isolators, RABS, VHP systems, HVAC systems, filling lines, or automated machinery. Familiarity with relevant standards, including IEC 60204-1, IEC 60364, IEC 61439, IEC 62271, and IEC 60076. Experience with PLC-controlled machinery, safety PLCs, emergency circuits, industrial communication networks, and instrumentation. Knowledge of electrical power quality, harmonics, energy management, and redundancy requirements. Experience with FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ, engineering risk assessments, and technical documentation. Experience working directly with international customers, suppliers, and electrical subcontractors.
