Respond with Compassionate Action We are seeking a Senior Custom Systems Analyst to join our Information Technology team in Boone, NC (or another approved on-site location). Through humanitarian work, the goal and purpose of Samaritan's Purse are to help people in Jesus' name and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In the role of Senior Custom Systems Analyst , you will have the opportunity to: Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ. Partner with ministry areas and program managers to understand business needs, processes, and workflows, and translate them into clear user stories and functional and non-functional requirements. Lead requirements-gathering activities, brainstorming sessions, and analysis workshops to define system needs, priorities, and desired outcomes for custom applications. Collaborate with subject matter experts, solution architects, user experience professionals, developers, and partner teams to design solutions that effectively support ministry objectives. Facilitate communication and alignment throughout the development lifecycle, including requirements handoff, prioritization, quality assurance, and securing necessary stakeholder agreements and approvals. Support successful solution adoption and delivery by validating developed systems against requirements and providing technical training and guidance to ministry areas, program managers, and training teams. Other duties as assigned. What are the qualifications? Serve with Excellence As a qualified candidate, you will have the following skills and experience: Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field and ten (10)+ years of experience in business systems analysis, custom software development, enterprise applications, or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated experience applying business and systems analysis practices, including requirements elicitation, process mapping, gap analysis, user stories, functional and non-functional requirements, and business process improvement to solve complex business and technical challenges. Strong knowledge of the Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Agile/Scrum methodologies, and software development practices, including application architecture, system integrations, release management, and quality assurance. Proven ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams, facilitate stakeholder alignment, manage multiple priorities, mentor others, and leverage modern technologies, including AI tools, to improve analysis, documentation, solution design, and productivity. 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, an opportunity to meet and complete the requirement is available upon hire.
