The Opportunity UST is looking for a Validation Engineer to lead end-to-end validation programs for Client storage products from planning through product release and post-release support. The role involves defining validation strategies, driving automation initiatives, managing technical execution, leading cross-functional teams, and ensuring product quality, reliability, and release readiness. Key Roles & Responsibilities Lead end-to-end validation programs for Client storage products from project planning through product release and post-release support. Own validation strategy, automation roadmap, execution planning, resource allocation, risk management, and technical delivery for assigned programs. Lead validation activities across Windows, Linux, UEFI, firmware, BIOS, storage drivers, security, interoperability, scalability, performance, and reliability domains. Define validation methodologies, test strategies, coverage models, quality gates, and release readiness criteria. Drive CI/CD implementation, automation expansion, infrastructure modernization, and continuous validation process improvements. Lead complex technical investigations involving storage protocols, driver architecture, firmware interactions, hardware integration, and platform-level failures. Conduct design reviews, technical reviews, root cause analysis discussions, and defect triage meetings with engineering teams. Collaborate with architects, product managers, development teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to achieve project milestones and successful product delivery. Mentor validation engineers and technicians by providing technical guidance, conducting knowledge-sharing sessions, and establishing engineering best practices. Prepare executive-level project reports, risk assessments, resource forecasts, quality metrics, and customer-facing presentations. Ensure compliance with Client engineering standards, security requirements, quality processes, and project governance throughout the engagement. Required Skills Validation Program Leadership and End-to-End Product Validation Storage Product Validation and Post-Silicon Validation Validation Strategy Development and Test Planning Windows, Linux, and UEFI Platform Validation BIOS, Firmware, and Storage Driver Validation Automation Strategy and CI/CD Implementation Risk Management and Release Readiness Planning Technical Debugging and Root Cause Analysis Defect Triage and Quality Metrics Management Cross-Functional Team Leadership Technical Documentation and Executive Reporting Desired Skills Experience leading storage validation programs and engineering teams. Strong knowledge of storage technologies, driver architecture, firmware interactions, and hardware integration. Experience with automation frameworks, validation infrastructure, and continuous integration environments. Ability to drive process improvements and validation methodology enhancements. Experience collaborating with architects, product managers, and global engineering teams. Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and decision-making skills. Experience mentoring engineers and establishing validation best practices. Qualification Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
