Job Description The Data Analyst - Financial Services manages the business needs of Financial Services, including, but not limited to the areas of Credit Analysis, Invoicing, Accounts Receivable applications, EDI, and multiple systems interfacing with ArcBest customers and 3rd party vendors. This position also provides analytical assistance by evaluating processes, procedures, and systems needed to support their functions as well as provides business and financial analysis at the corporate level for the support of ArcBest subsidiaries. In addition, the Data Analyst - Financial Services uses Excel, Power BI, and other tools to provide analysis for leadership, customers, and carriers. This position leads the development and deployment of large and multiple smaller projects across the ArcBest Corporation. The Data Analyst - Financial Services is required to develop and update task level project plans and identify and prioritize IT resources as necessary to complete project tasks and report statuses to upper management. Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement analytical solutions that enable ArcBest subsidiaries to more efficiently execute on their business goals. Manage and oversee the systems used to support the business needs of ArcBest subsidiary companies which includes, but is not limited to Credit Analysis, Invoicing, Accounts Receivable applications, EDI and other systems interfacing with the ArcBest customer base and 3rd party vendors. Be knowledgeable of ArcBest subsidiaries, their individual business models and unique challenges to growth within their own marketplace so that recommendations can be made to position solutions and services of ArcBest Financial Services. Determine cost projections and/or potential efficiency improvements on both new and existing business processes and possess ability to coach others in this capacity. Assist in the development and testing of Enterprise tools and systems. Provide clear and concise project and solution definition, scope, action plans, and communication of including schedule and design. Improve quality, productivity, and effectiveness through the Quality Process in the development and enhancement of business applications and analytical processes. Work and contribute in a team setting to accomplish overall corporation, department and individual goals. Provide support to individuals within the department by creating and maintaining ad hoc analysis and reports. Assist in the design and implementation of appropriate solutions. Provide timely, accurate and actionable data and analysis to decision makers at all levels. Other duties and projects, as assigned. Requirements Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Business Management or Information Technology, preferred Experience 1 year experience in Logistics, Operations, Transportation, Information Technology, Project Management and/or other relevant field, preferred Computer Skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and SQL. Additional Requirements Ability to learn new systems quickly. Working knowledge with databases, systems, and software. Working knowledge of all ArcBest organizations, units, resources, systems and a broad perspective in supply chain and the transportation industry. Understanding of Information Technology capabilities as it relates to developing, enhancing and purchasing applications to meet the needs of ArcBest subsidiaries.
