The firm’s active, multi-manager model demands flexible, scalable technology and advanced proprietary systems, including the development of the next generation of analytical and trading capabilities. The Fixed Income Rapid Application Development (RAD) team is a specialized group of engineers, quants, and data scientists that delivers tactical, production-grade application and AI solutions for Fixed Income portfolio managers, traders, risk, and operations teams. Working closely with investment, execution, risk, and compliance partners, the team rapidly prototypes and industrializes custom applications, including solutions that increasingly incorporate AI and LLM-driven capabilities. What You'll Do Work directly with portfolio managers, traders, execution desks, and risk teams to rapidly prototype and deliver tactical, production-grade applications. Build and maintain data pipelines that combine internal and market data sources into custom analytics and delivery formats (dashboards, APIs, Excel/notebook tools). Design and build data visualizations and web UIs (React/TypeScript) that surface data trends and streamline PM/trading/risk workflows. Develop and integrate AI/LLM-powered capabilities into team applications, e.g., Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), chat-data ingestion pipelines, MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers/tools, building and using AI coding agent automation (Claude Code/Codex/Cursor) Partner with Fixed Income Management, Execution, and Risk teams to capture requirements, monitor delivery, and manage expectations for both traditional analytics tools and newer AI-driven applications. Maintain, support, and continuously improve deployed capabilities as new requirements arise Fit into FI-RAD's fast-moving culture, judged on the ability to deliver timely, production-quality solutions directly to PMs and risk/trading desks. What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field 5+ years of development experience in a production environment, ideally with Python using data science stack libraries Experience in financial markets, including areas such as rates, FX, credit, or commodities using mathematics, modeling, and/or statistics Experience with AI/LLM tools for development and/or AI solutions such as Agent Tools, Skills, MCPs Full stack experience with React+Typescript/Deno and cloud technologies (Kubernetes EKS/ArgoCD) Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting High attention to detail, strong organization, and a clear sense of ownership and accountability for your work Salary Range Millennium offers a total compensation package which includes a base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and comprehensive benefits. The estimated base salary range for this position is $175,000 to $250,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future. When finalizing an offer, we take into consideration an individual’s experience level and the qualifications they bring to the role to formulate a competitive total compensation package.
