Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer Long-term contract role with a leading investment management firm. Hybrid work environment - NJ (3 days/week onsite) General Skill Profile (in order of preference) Microsoft Fabric, Python, SQL, Data Engineering, Data Modeling, ETL/ELT, Power BI What You Will Do Design, develop, and maintain enterprise data solutions within Microsoft Fabric. Build scalable, reliable, and high-performing data pipelines supporting analytics and reporting initiatives. Design and optimize data models for reporting, analytics, and downstream applications. Perform data cleansing, transformation, and validation across multiple enterprise data sources. Develop ELT/ETL workflows using Microsoft Fabric Data Factory and related Fabric services. Optimize data ingestion, storage, and processing performance. Work closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics requirements. Implement data quality, governance, and security best practices. Partner with BI developers and data consumers to deliver trusted enterprise datasets. Troubleshoot pipeline failures, performance bottlenecks, and production issues. Recommend best practices for Microsoft Fabric architecture and implementation.
