You’ll actively contribute to agile projects, take ownership of subprojects, and collaborate closely with colleagues from Cloud, Data, and AI Engineering or Consulting. What distinguishes you Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Informatics, or a related field. Experience: Mid-Level: 3–6 years of professional software development experience. Senior: 6+ years of experience with a proven track record in designing, implementing, and operating scalable, secure, and performant backend systems. Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, REST API design, message-driven architectures (Kafka), async processing, dependency management (Maven), and microservice architecture design, with additional experience in Python or other modern languages. Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), serverless services, monitoring tools (Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana), and best practices like CI/CD, Git workflows, automated testing, and agile methodologies. Experience with relational/NoSQL databases, data modelling, production-grade ML integration, and exposure to LLM frameworks (Spring AI, LangChain) with interest in prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and semantic search; routine use of AI-assisted coding tools. Fluent in English. Strong team player with excellent intercultural communication skills. Independent, structured, and self-reliant working style. Pragmatic, solution-oriented, and analytical thinker. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
