Receptionist

Position: Receptionist - Full Time Company: Read Photography Location: 1800 42nd Street NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404 Hours: 9:00am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday Pay: Hourly, based on experience Benefits: Paid time off (after 1 year) Paid Holidays Qualifications: High school diploma or GED Experience in customer service Excellent communication skills Excellent organizational skills Experience with spreadsheets is a plus Responsibilities: Welcome customers and employees Answer and direct phone calls, text messages, emails, and social media messages Schedule appointments and send reminders Maintain organization of workspace and tasks Keep the office, lobby and all public areas of the studio neat and professional Sort and distribute mail Process orders and take payment Package, organize, and distribute print orders Maintain necessary records Who you are: You are a self-starter that approaches interactions with a positive outlook. Who we are: As a three generation family business, Read Photography has been a staple in the Cedar Rapids, Iowa and surrounding communities since 1975. We're passionate about the work we do, and we love that we get to work closely with so many people in our community. Quality work is a standard that we uphold throughout all branches of our business. We operate our own print lab on-site to ensure the quality of our prints, and work closely with trusted vendors for any products we cannot create on-site. Our team works closely with organizations such as schools, dance studios, independent sports, and local businesses, as well as individuals (families, high school seniors, etc.) to build lasting relationships and provide quality services and products. While the majority of our photography is posed, we also take candid photos at large events in the Cedar Rapids area, as well as nationally. As a photography studio, we experience seasons of increased hours to accommodate specific events. We are a small team, made up of creative individuals using unique skills to contribute to our combined success. We work together to be available where needed, while also excelling in our respective positions.
