Prepare, review, and analyze financial information to produce accurate financial statements and tax returns. Complete compliance work for individuals, companies, trusts, and Self-Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSFs). Assist Assistant Managers, Managers, and Directors in delivering high-quality accounting and taxation services. Support the preparation of documents and reports for client meetings. Identify issues, risks, and areas requiring further review, and provide recommendations to senior team members. Ensure workflow deadlines are agreed upon before commencing work and consistently deliver tasks on time. Prepare complete and accurate workpaper files before submitting them for review. Review taxation and other client correspondence before forwarding to Assistant Managers, Managers, or Directors. Liaise with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and other regulatory bodies as required. Conduct research on Australian taxation and accounting matters and communicate findings to the management team. Analyze financial information using sound judgment, common sense, and logical thinking to identify errors or areas of concern in client records. Draft client correspondence for review by Assistant Managers and Managers. Assist in preparing accounting and taxation advice for clients. Work collaboratively with the wider team while managing responsibilities independently when required. Actively participate in staff meetings, team meetings, and training sessions. Build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues across the firm.
