The Position This position is available in the DAIV System Team, a centralized DevOps and software infrastructure team based in Bangalore and supporting multiple software product development teams across the EMEA region. These teams develop desktop and web applications for data management, image processing, and visualization workflows. The DAIV System Team provides CI/CD infrastructure, software lifecycle management, developer tooling, AI enablement, and cybersecurity support across the software development lifecycle. As a DevOps Engineer, you will contribute to the CI/CD, software lifecycle management, developer tooling, AI enablement, and cybersecurity capabilities used by desktop and web product teams. Working with senior engineers and technical leads, you will implement automation, support product teams, resolve delivery issues, and build brad experience across modern DevOps technologies. How You Will Make an Impact You will help development teams deliver software more efficiently by maintaining reliable pipelines, automating repetitive work, and resolving build and deployment issues. You will contribute to secure, consistent engineering practices while learning how complex desktop and web products are built, tested, packaged, and released. You will work in an international, collaborative environment with opportunities to develop technical depth in a desktop or web application track. In This Role You Will Implement, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines and supporting DevOps infrastructure under the guidance of senior engineers and technical leads. Support product teams with build, test, packaging, deployment, release, and software lifecycle management activities. Create and maintain scripts, pipeline components, automation, and documentation that reduce manual effort and improve consistency. Support GitHub or GitLab repositories, runners or agents, artifact management, access patterns, and related developer tooling. Investigate build, pipeline, deployment, environment, and release failures; document findings and implement agreed corrective actions. Contribute to secure SDLC practices by operating automated code, dependency, container, and secrets scanning and assisting with vulnerability remediation. Participate in upgrades, migrations, patching, and deprecation activities for development tools, operating systems, build environments, containers, and platform components. Use approved AI-assisted engineering tools to improve development, testing, documentation, troubleshooting, and automation activities. Collaborate with DevOps engineers, software engineers, architects, cybersecurity specialists, and product stakeholders to deliver prioritized improvements. Follow engineering standards, review processes, configuration management practices, and operational procedures. Share knowledge, seek feedback, and continuously develop technical skills across the supported technology stacks. Participate in Agile planning, team reviews, and continuous improvement activities. The Candidate The ideal candidate is a practical and curious software or DevOps engineer with solid engineering fundamentals, a strong learning mindset, and the discipline to build reliable, maintainable automation. Besides that, you have: Bachelor's or master's degree with 3 to 6 years of DevOps industry experience. Preferred fields of study: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. Experience with software development or DevOps fundamentals, including version control, CI/CD, scripting, automated testing, and systematic troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with Git and at least one CI/CD platform such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD, including basic pipeline maintenance and artifact or package management. Experience with several of the following core technologies: Python, .NET, Docker, and Linux. Exposure to at least one application track is beneficial: desktop delivery using CMake, C++/Qt, PowerShell, and Windows build environments; or web delivery using Kubernetes, Helm, Rancher, and containerized application platforms. Understanding of software security principles and secure SDLC practices, including dependency management, secrets protection, automated scanning, vulnerability remediation, and quality controls. Interest in using approved generative AI capabilities responsibly to improve development, testing, documentation, troubleshooting, and automation activities. Ability to analyze problems, follow through on technical tasks, document solutions, and learn new technologies quickly. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in cross-functional, distributed teams. Strong written and verbal English communication skills. Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or SAFe is beneficial. Travel may occasionally be required for collaboration with global teams.
