As a Network Engineer, you will join Turnberry's Digital Modernization practice, where technology and strategy combine to deliver exceptional digital experiences, empowering organizations to thrive in today's digital market. Responsibilities Determine requirements, data flows and systems definitions by communicating with managerial, administrative, and technical staff Perform project oversight duties that include risk management, testing, documentation, and training for information systems initiatives Establish, control, and maintain systems access and security Demonstrate effective time management by meeting deadlines and business objectives Evaluate system performance with the goal of optimization Initiate recovery action after system failures Primary support role for enterprise networking and telecommunications for data center and all corporate office locations Coordinate system updates and replacement of outdated hardware Assist in the testing and deployment of new equipment and network systems Deliver technical reports on the performance and operation of network systems Coordinate the activities of support staff and help desk personnel and handles escalated support issues Propose innovative solutions by approaching problems with curiosity and open mindedness, using existing information and vendor resources to its fullest potential Maintain network performance by monitoring and analysis of network devices, routers, switches, VPN gateways, telephony systems, intrusion detection systems, and other network resources Qualifications Capable of working independently and a self-starter who performs initiatives that provide solutions for business requirements Excellent communication skills with ability to multi-task and prioritize work Ability to rely on knowledge and research to perform effective troubleshooting Ability to respond to complex technical challenges by coordinating resources to devise effective solutions as well as by escalating on-going technical issues to vendor as required Ability to initiate activities to maintain and update knowledge of emerging IT trends Ability to take on analysis and project work (50% technical, 50% analysis) The salary range for this role is $80,000 to $160,000 or the hourly equivalent. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
