We’re looking for a Senior Go Developer to join the Uplatform team and work on high-load services built around a modern technology stack. What We’re Looking For 5+ years of commercial software development experience in any programming language. 2+ years of commercial Go development experience with production-grade code. Strong knowledge of idiomatic Go, unit testing, and active participation in code reviews. Experience designing APIs with backward compatibility in mind. Solid understanding of distributed systems, including CAP, Saga, Outbox, and 2PC. Fluent Russian language skills. Hands-on experience with Kafka and event-driven architectures. Strong experience with OLTP databases: schema design, migrations, and a solid understanding of replication and sharding. A proactive approach to caching. Metrics, alerting, distributed tracing, graceful shutdown, circuit breakers, and rate limiting are an essential part of your development practices. Understanding of zero-downtime deployments, Docker, and the 12-factor app methodology. Experience with profiling and identifying performance bottlenecks. Secure handling of secrets (Vault, Kubernetes Secrets) and a solid understanding of authentication and authorization. Ownership of your area of responsibility from development through deployment. Ability to provide constructive feedback to colleagues and proactively contribute to the technical backlog. Ability to take business context into account, provide accurate estimates, highlight risks, justify technical decisions, and propose alternatives. AI as a daily development tool. Nice to Have Experience with NATS. Additional experience with Kafka. Ability to design a service architecture from scratch based on a high-level problem description. Experience migrating legacy codebases to Go (we are currently migrating from PHP). Open-source contributions. Tech Stack Go — primary programming language. Kafka, NATS — message brokers. MySQL — primary OLTP database. gRPC, HTTP (Echo/Fiber) — transport. Event Sourcing — architectural approach. Prometheus, Grafana, ELK — observability. Docker, Kubernetes — infrastructure.
