Shield is a global startup, with offices in TLV, NYC, LDN, and LIS. We’re rapidly growing and looking for another important piece of the puzzle. Is it you? We are looking for an experienced Application Operations Specialist to join our team and be responsible for the implementation, integration, configuration, and maintenance of Shield’s SaaS and on-prem product. You will work closely with DEV groups and directly with the IT departments of our customers to ensure the availability, security and reliability of cloud deployments, as well as troubleshoot and resolve issues in our production SaaS environments. Let’s get down to business: What You'll Do: Be a Shield implementation expert. Understand deployment patterns and all configurations that support these patterns. Implement the Shield platform from deployment handover stage to go live readiness Application configuration to meet the customer specific requirements Executing integrations between Shield system and external data sources Create and demonstrate technical documents. Experience and Skills: Managing the full lifecycle of enterprise applications in production environments (deploy, integrate, upgrade, operate, monitor). Administering the underlying application infrastructure (compute, networking, storage, security, etc.). Kubernetes from an application lifecycle management perspective. GitOps with Argo CD. Automation tools and frameworks such as Ansible, Helm, Terraform, Bash, and Python. Troubleshooting complex application and infrastructure issues (root cause analysis, performance, reliability). Observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana. Using Jira and Confluence for documentation, incident follow-up, and task management. Full accountability and ownership of execution end-to-end (from planning through delivery and post-deployment follow-up). Strong communication skills (technical and non-technical stakeholders). Excellent English, written and spoken. Nice to have OpenSearch (operations, scaling, troubleshooting). Managed Kubernetes platforms: AWS EKS and/or Azure AKS. That number is real. WorkMundi's database shows 144,883 open engineer roles across the world. India has the most with 31,687 jobs, followed by the United States with 30,084. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
