You are : You’re a cloud platform specialist who automates everything, enforces guardrails, and keeps platforms reliable and cost‑efficient. You lead incidents, mentor others, and partner with architecture to land secure patterns at scale. The Work : Operate and optimize hybrid cloud estates (Google Distributed Cloud/Anthos, Azure Stack, Outposts, Nutanix) with enterprise guardrails. Design and maintain Terraform/Ansible stacks; implement reusable modules, remote state, and drift detection. Engineer Kubernetes platforms (control plane upgrades, node OS baselines, CNI, ingress/egress, registry, policy). Implement network patterns (hub/spoke, firewalls, WAF, Private Link/Endpoints); troubleshoot routing and DNS. Lead incident response and post-incident reviews; drive reliability backlogs and SLO adoption. Implement ITSG‑33-aligned controls; integrate with SIEM, KMS/HSM, and secret managers. Embed FinOps: rightsizing, reservation planning, cost visibility, and optimization guardrails. Mentor junior engineers; partner with Security, Network, App teams to enable platform consumption. Ability to work shifts/on-call; comfort working on-site in high-security environments. Travel may be required based on client demand. Accenture promotes a client-centric, flexible work environment. What You’ll Need Minimum 2 years of experience in cloud platform engineering and/or cloud platform administration. Strong Linux, networking, and IaC (Terraform/Ansible/CloudFormation). Kubernetes operations experience; understanding of service mesh/ingress. Demonstrated incident leadership and DR/BCP execution. Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in a related field. Eligibility for Reliability Clearance. Bonus Points If You Have Eligible for Top Secret Security Clearance or currently holds Top Secret Security Clearance status. Cloud certifications (Azure/AWS/GCP). Policy-as-code and compliance automation. Bilingual (English/French). If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.

When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one.
