Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering Minimum 15 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in the Oil & Gas industry Exposure to Field Engineering and Basic/FEED engineering is an added advantage Job Responsibilities Lead and manage projects with a minimum of 30,000 man-hours and peak team size of 20+ engineers Develop project schedules and allocate resources effectively to meet deadlines Prepare engineering man-hour estimates based on quantities and deliverables Handle change management processes related to input modifications and additional scope Perform structural analysis and design of steel and concrete structures such as pipe racks, shelters, technology structures, and foundations (equipment and machine foundations requiring dynamic analysis) Design industrial buildings including substations, control rooms, and administrative facilities Apply knowledge of international codes and standards in engineering design Software Proficiency Mandatory: STAAD.Pro (structural analysis) Preferred/Added Advantage GTStrudl (structural analysis) Foundation3D / Mat3D / ETABS (foundation design) Navisworks, SPR (3D model review) Abaqus, SAP, SolidWorks (Finite Element Modeling)

If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
