About The Role We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to design, build, and enhance the cloud and automation platforms that power Broadridge products and services. In this role, you will work closely with development teams to understand their needs, deliver innovative solutions, and drive highly secure, scalable, and resilient DevOps capabilities across the enterprise. Responsibilities Design, build, and evolve the DevOps platform supporting Broadridge product and service delivery. Collaborate with development teams to gather requirements, ideate, and translate solutions into secure and scalable implementations. Develop automation frameworks and scripts to streamline CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure provisioning, and deployments. Drive best practices in enterprise software delivery, including configuration management, release processes, and observability. Support global-scale systems leveraging modern networking, distributed architectures, containers, and microservices. Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure effective collaboration, security compliance, and continuous improvement. Qualifications Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, building DevOps capabilities for enterprise applications. 3- 5 years’ experience DevOps toolsets Terraform, Jenkins, Chef, Docker, JF Hands-on expertise with AWS cloud services (Azure or GCP experience a plus). Skilled in DevOps toolsets including Terraform, Jenkins, Chef, Docker, JFrog (Kubernetes proficiency highly beneficial). Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, source control (Git), configuration management, and monitoring practices. Proficiency with scripting/programming languages such as Python, GoLang, or Shell. Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong analytical mindset with the organizational skills to manage multiple priorities. Preferred Qualifications : Cloud/DevOps certifications (e.g., AWS DevOps Engineer, CKA, Terraform Associate). Familiarity with advanced networking, master/slave architectures, and modern design patterns. Hands-on experience across multiple cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure). That number is real. WorkMundi's database shows 144,883 open engineer roles across the world. India has the most with 31,687 jobs, followed by the United States with 30,084. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
