We’re looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join our ever evolving API Operations team within GlobalTech Poland Sp. z o.o and help shape the future of global commerce. What You’ll Own Serve as the first line of defense for production incidents, ensuring rapid triage, root cause analysis, resolution, and collaboration with engineering teams where needed. Monitor system health and performance of APIs and integrations, tracking and investigating latency, failures, and escalations. Collaborate with platform engineers to implement observability, logging, and alerting best practices for API services. Build and maintain diagnostic tools, runbooks, workflows, knowledge bases, and playbooks to improve incident response and enable repeatable troubleshooting. Partner with governance and compliance teams to ensure proper incident documentation, contribute to retrospectives, and drive continuous improvement of production systems. What You’ll Bring 3+ years of experience in production support, SRE, or DevOps (preferably with Apigee APIs), with strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred) and observability tools. Proficiency in Python, shell scripting, and programming languages such as Python and JavaScript for automation and troubleshooting. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and incident management skills. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with ability to work proactively, manage multiple assignments, and meet deadlines with accuracy. English proficiency at B2-C1 level and Czech/ Polish proficiency at B1-B2 level. It’s a bonus if you have Experience with CI/CD tools and alerts/monitoring automation. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
