For our engineering center in Krakow, Poland, we are looking for a Senior AI/ML Engineer to develop machine learning solutions for perception, environment understanding, prediction, and planning in automotive applications. The role supports assisted and automated parking functions, covering perception of parking environments, behavior understanding, and trajectory planning. Your role Lead development of machine learning solutions for perception, prediction, and planning functions. Drive technical decisions, architecture, and algorithm design for complex AI/ML systems. Define approaches for computer vision and multi-modal sensor fusion solutions. Guide system development from data pipelines and model training through deployment. Mentor engineers and support technical growth within the team. Establish evaluation methodologies and performance targets for production systems. Collaborate across global engineering teams and contribute to technology roadmaps. Drive continuous improvement of algorithms, tools, and engineering practices. Your background MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Robotics, or a related field. Extensive experience developing and delivering ML solutions in production environments. Strong expertise in several of: Computer vision (detection, segmentation, tracking, 3D perception) Advanced deep learning architectures and transformer-based models Representation learning, self-supervised learning, multimodal learning, or generative AI Prediction, forecasting, planning, or reinforcement learning Deep hands-on experience with PyTorch or equivalent frameworks. Strong software engineering skills in Python and/or C++. Experience leading technical solutions from concept through deployment. Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills. Preferred Technical leadership of AI/ML projects or teams. Experience with large-scale training infrastructure and distributed learning. Experience with embedded deployment and performance optimization. Deep understanding of ADAS, autonomous driving, or automated parking systems. Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.

When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one.
