We are on a mission to pioneer the world’s next era of play. As we grow across Europe and Latin America, we’re building The Playstack - the technology powering the next generation of sports, gaming, and fan experiences. Join us, and help make it the most widely used platform in the world! From operations, to marketing, to product, we are looking for talented people who will shape how millions of customers play, watch, and connect every day. The Gaming Integrations team operates approximately 26 provider integrations across three runtimes and is the critical path for Super entering new markets. This is a key capacity hire into a small, high-impact team, with immediate contribution expected across two strategic priorities: rebuilding the game platform into a scalable, multi-studio architecture, and accelerating integration delivery to support new country launches. You will have real ownership, high visibility, and direct influence on the team's technical direction. What The Role Involves Elixir Platform Migration Contribute to the migration of Node.js/Erlang integrations to the new Elixir-based platform, where feature parity across runtimes is a current blocker for multiple localisations Game Studio Integrations Own the full lifecycle of new provider integrations (launchUrl, authenticate, balance, debit, credit, void), from implementation through to production sign-off Platform Architecture Implement CI/CD pipelines, shared services, and the modular architecture required to support multiple exclusive gaming studios at scale Operational Excellence Maintain KTLO (keeping the lights on) under 10% of team capacity whilst sustaining high availability across all 26+ live integrations Project Impact Lead larger projects or small squads, run meetings, write status reports, and track delivery Proactively identify problems and drive resolution, often without guidance Demonstrate impact clearly through metrics, not just activity Engineering Excellence Take end-to-end ownership of product quality: reliability, efficiency, security, and performance Drive engineering efficiency improvements across the organisation (faster onboarding, better tooling, reduced cycle time) Become the established go-to owner of at least one component or system with expert depth Communication & Collaboration Build working relationships cross-functionally across product, SRE, QA, integration managers, and gaming studios Give detailed, specific positive and constructive feedback to the Tribe Lead and teammates Facilitate fast learning cycles and nurture innovation within the team Organisational Impact Actively mentor less-experienced engineers and create conditions for them to grow Participate in recruiting and interviewing, with a particular focus on diversity recruiting Onboard new team members and make codebases easy to ramp up on Invest in your own skills and bring new knowledge back to the team (currently relevant: Elixir, Kafka operations, distributed systems at scale) What We Are Looking For 5+ years building high-quality software with strong engineering practices (code reviews, CI/CD, design documentation) Proven track record of unblocking yourself and driving improvements across a team (high agency) Experience with microservice and event-based architectures Experience with Kafka Experience building highly available, highly scalable, distributed backend systems Proficiency in Node.js / TypeScript Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS Experience working cross-functionally in product organisations alongside product managers, designers, and stakeholders Strong sense of ownership, problem-solving instinct, and clear, direct communication Product engineer mindset — understands business context, not purely tech-focused Nice to have Experience operating Kafka in production Elixir or functional programming experience (our strategic direction) Experience in the betting or gaming industry What We Offer Medical / Health Insurance Open Annual Leave Employee Assistance Programme Training & Learning Development Additional benefits vary by country and will be shared during the hiring process. That number is real. WorkMundi's database shows 144,883 open engineer roles across the world. India has the most with 31,687 jobs, followed by the United States with 30,084. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
