As a DevOps Engineer At Cat Digital's Slovakian Branch, You Will Have The Opportunity To Build Products Caterpillar’s Digital Products And Contribute To Design, Testing And Deployment Of Our Tools And Applications As Well As Work on complex systems or infrastructure components. Solve technical problems and identify resolution in cloud environment. Drive development, focused around delivering cloud services and tools. Maintain high standards of software quality within the team. This position works directly with Slovakia based engineering leadership and Cat Digital IT in the US. What You Have Strong knowledge of software product lifecycles and the ability to design, configure, and integrate technical solutions across those lifecycles. Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. Relevant degree in Computer Science or similar field. Experience in supporting and deploying software using public clouds such as AWS and/or Microsoft Azure. Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC), using tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions and/or others. Practical experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, as well as configuration management or deployment tools like Puppet, Chef, or equivalent. Working within an Agile framework (ideally Scrum). Top Candidates Will Also Have Experience with API proxies on platforms such as Apigee Edge, AWS API Gateway or Azure API Gateway . If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
