You will partner closely with analytics, engineering, and mission stakeholders to design, develop, and deliver Tableau-based dashboards that support operational awareness, performance monitoring, and executive decision-making. You Will: Design, build, and evolve analytics-ready data pipelines (ETL/ELT) that support scalable reporting and visualization use cases, ingesting structured and unstructured data from diverse sources. Lead the development of advanced Tableau dashboards and visual analytics products, emphasizing clarity, usability, and decision support for operational and executive audiences. Translate complex datasets into clear, intuitive visual stories that communicate trends, risks, and performance insights. Partner with analytics and engineering teams to operationalize data products into production-ready dashboards and reporting workflows. Participate across the full analytics development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, data modeling, dashboard design, testing, deployment, and iterative refinement. Present dashboard insights, trends, and analytical findings to internal customers and leadership, tailoring content for technical and non-technical audiences. Collaborate with design and product teams to implement modern visualization techniques, UX best practices, and interactive analytics. Support and continuously enhance analytics and visualization platforms, ensuring performance, scalability, and data integrity. Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Analytics, or a related quantitative field with 8+ years of relevant experience, OR 5+ years of relevant experience in data analytics, visualization, or analytics engineering in lieu of a degree. Clearance: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Experience developing data pipelines and analytics workflows using Python or similar modern analytics languages. Strong proficiency in SQL and data modeling to support analytical and visualization use cases. Hands-on experience developing visual analytics and dashboards, with demonstrated proficiency in Tableau. Experience designing dashboards for operational monitoring, trend analysis, and executive reporting. Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain analytical findings and visualization design decisions. Analytical mindset with attention to data quality, consistency, and interpretability. Preferred Qualifications Experience collaborating with users to refine analytical questions and resolve data or visualization challenges through investigation and iterative improvement. Power BI experience for dashboard development or cross-platform visualization environments. Tableau or other data visualization certifications. Background in data visualization best practices, UX/UI principles, or visual analytics design. Experience automating analytics workflows and data preparation using Python. Experience with API-based data ingestion and integration. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Optional experience with containerized environments (e.g., Docker). Experience working in Agile environments using tools such as GitLab, Git, and CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge of open-source analytics and visualization ecosystems. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully.
