About the team and what we will build together The Kobie Engineering Team is a diverse group of individuals belonging to teams including DevOPS Engineering, Cloud Engineering, and System Administration. How you will make an impact As a Lead Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of our infrastructure and deployment pipelines. You will work closely with development and operations teams to ensure that our systems are scalable, reliable, and highly available. You will also be responsible for mentoring and training junior and mid-level engineers, and for driving the adoption of best practices and automation across the organization. Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of our infrastructure and deployment pipelines Collaborate with development and operations teams to improve software delivery processes Monitor and troubleshoot and implement automation allowing the self healing of production systems to ensure optimal performance Lead the planning and implementation of automation designs and strategy to improve efficiency and reliability of our systems Understand and translate the business vision into technical roadmaps used to improve our infrastructure and deployment processes, identifying areas for optimization, cost savings, feature improvements, etc Evaluate current technology trends and make recommendations to the business for improvements and adoption Mentor and train junior and mid-level engineers Drive the adoption of best practices and automation across the organization Provide technical leadership and support to development and IT teams as needed What you need to be successful We are looking for six or more years of experience in the following areas: Mastery of automation tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar Strong knowledge of programming concepts and design architecture in one or more languages Extensive experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef Extensive knowledge with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes Strong Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as New Relic, Prometheus, ELK stack, or similar Strong Cloud infrastructure experience and certifications with OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP Excellent communication and collaboration skills

If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
