Hevo Data Solution Engineer (Post-sales) About Hevo DoorDash, Footlocker, Arhaus, Santander, and thousands of other data-driven companies have one thing in common. They all use Hevo Data’s fully managed Automated Pipelines to consolidate their data from multiple sources like Databases, Marketing Applications, Cloud Storage, SDKs, Streaming Services, etc. We are a San Francisco, Bangalore, and Pune-based company with 2000+ customers spread across 45+ countries in e-commerce, financial technology, and healthcare. Strongly backed by marquee investors like Sequoia Capital, we have raised $42 Million to date and are looking forward to our next phase of hyper-growth! Why do we exist? At Hevo, our mission is to enable every company to be data-driven. We started on this journey 9 years back, and as the first step in this direction, we built our first product – “Data Pipeline” or simply “Pipeline”. Hevo Pipeline is a no-code platform that helps companies connect all their sources of data within the company to get a unified view of their business. The platform offers integrations with 150+ data sources such as Databases, SaaS applications, Advertising Channels, etc. Today, we enable close to 2000 companies across more than 40+ countries to be more data-driven. Our aim is to make the technology so simple that anyone should be able to solve their data problems and not be limited due to their lack of technical skills. The Role We are growing into mid-market and enterprise accounts where the technical bar - and the stakes - are higher. To win and retain these customers, we are building the technical depth in our post-sale motion to match. Enterprise buyers are not just buying a product. They are making architectural decisions. The CTOs, data architects, and engineering leads we work with at this level need a technical counterpart. As a Solution Engineer, you are that person. You are not the first point of contact, and you are not handling tickets. You are the expert our Account Managers bring in when a customer conversation goes beyond relationship management - a quarterly architecture review, a complex integration challenge, a strategic expansion decision, or simply when a CTO wants to talk to someone who really knows data. What You Will Do Be the senior technical specialist that Account Managers call on for complex customer conversations - architecture reviews, expansion discussions, and senior-level technical engagements. Engage credibly with CTOs, senior engineers, and data architects as a genuine thought partner: understand their architecture, challenge assumptions, co-design pipelines, and offer a credible point of view. Lead technical discovery and solution design for enterprise customers evaluating new use cases, migrations, or architectural changes involving Hevo. Translate complex customer requirements into actionable guidance - both for the customer and, where needed, and for Hevo's internal engineering team. Build and maintain deep expertise in the modern data stack: cloud data warehouses, orchestration, transformation, and the broader ecosystem Hevo operates within. Identify expansion opportunities through technical engagement and hand them off to the AM with enough context to move the conversation forward commercially. Contribute to internal knowledge - documenting patterns, building reference architectures, and raising the technical bar across the post-sales team. What We Are Looking For Required 6+ years of experience in a technical, customer-facing role - Solutions Engineering, Data Engineering, or a technical post-sale or consulting function. Deep, broad knowledge of data engineering: ETL/ELT pipelines, cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks), orchestration, and the modern data stack. Hands-on experience with data integration tools, CDC, event streaming, or warehouse-native transformation (dbt, etc.). Demonstrable ability to engage at the architectural level - not just explain a product, but understand and speak to a customer's data infrastructure. Strong communication skills: you can make complex technical ideas clear to both engineers and executives, and you are confident pushing back when a customer's approach is suboptimal. Comfort working in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment with a small team and high autonomy. Nice to Have Experience in a pre-sales or post-sales SE role at a data infrastructure or SaaS company. Exposure to enterprise data governance, compliance, or security requirements (SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA). Prior experience in a startup or high-growth B2B SaaS environment. What You Will Not Be Doing This is not a support role, a ticket-handling role, or a general customer success role. You will not be measured on ticket volume or response SLAs. You will be measured on whether enterprise customers trust Hevo at the technical level - and whether that trust translates into deeper, longer, larger relationships. What We Offer Competitive compensation and/or equity. Direct access to leadership and real influence on how the post-sale function is built. A collaborative, high-trust environment where technical depth is valued and rewarded.

144,883 engineer jobs are open right now

Here's how to pick the right one and stand out in your application.

144.883Jobs
31.687IN

That number is real. WorkMundi's database shows 144,883 open engineer roles across the world. India has the most with 31,687 jobs, followed by the United States with 30,084. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.

Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.

When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
