Our Supply & Demand platform transforms complex global commodity data-from production sites, trade flows, imports, exports, refinery activity, consumption, and stock changes-into trusted market intelligence used by our clients around the world. Historically focused on crude oil, our team is now evolving the platform to support a much broader range of commodities, including refined products, biofuels, metals, and beyond. This is a major engineering transformation: building a scalable, reusable platform that can support new commodity markets without creating separate solutions for each product. As a Software Engineer II, you will contribute to the development and operation of the systems behind our Supply & Demand products. You will own meaningful technical areas, delivering reliable solutions across data pipelines, backend services, APIs, and data-quality systems. You will work closely with experienced engineers, Product, Research, and Data teams to solve complex problems where domain knowledge, data challenges, and engineering decisions come together. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
