## Your team ## Pictet Tech designs, integrates and operates software applications ranging from portfolio management systems and trading platforms to banking and corporate solutions. The division is responsible for some of the Group-s key innovations while sustaining business operations. The *Cloud Platform* team operates Pictet-s cloud landing zone and is the partner our engineering teams turn to when they build on it. As cloud adoption grows across Pictet-s engineering community, our goal is to help teams move faster with less friction. As a Tech Lead in this team, you will build and operate the platform, anchor technical decisions and raise the engineering bar as we mature from automation to a self-service product. ## Your role ## * to operate and continuously improve Pictet-s cloud landing zone on AWS and Azure, acting as a trusted technical advisor to the engineers who build on it. * to give advice on and work with product teams co-build cloud blueprints, turning shared patterns into reusable, self-service building blocks. * to lead the shift from automation to a self-service platform by designing the paved path and abstraction layer that reduce internal clients- cognitive load. * to Act as a Tech Lead by anchoring key design decisions, mentoring engineers and setting the paved-road standards relied on by the team and its internal clients. * to align with developers, infrastructure engineers, cybersecurity and risk managers to apply standards and provide guidance, and building in security and good practice by default. ## Your profile ## * Strong software engineering skills: you write production-grade code in Python, Go or an equivalent language, and bring the discipline needed to turn automation into a maintainable self-service platform. * In-depth expertise in infrastructure as code on AWS and/or Azure, with strong Terraform experience and, ideally, exposure to landing-zone or multi-account governance and automation. * Solid architecture background in identity and access management, networking and integration, with the ability to reason through design choices. * A platform-as-a-product mindset: you treat internal engineers as clients and care about adoption, self-service and the developer experience. * Experience as a tech lead or senior individual contributor, making and guiding technical decisions for a team. * Experience with containers, orchestration and the wider tooling ecosystem, including Kubernetes and GitHub Actions or CI/CD. * Exposure to DevSecOps, agentic AI or FinOps practices would be an advantage. * A team player with strong communication skills, intellectual curiosity and a willingness to learn. * Fluent English is required; French would be an advantage. Otherwise, candidates should be willing to learn it. * Swiss resident or willing to relocate. TL/CRO/XM ## Note ## We will not accept any CVs via agencies ## Diversity & Inclusion ## *Pictet is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to creating a diverse environment. We respect all individuals and seek their inclusion in the workplace.*

That number is real. WorkMundi's database shows 144,883 open engineer roles across the world. India has the most with 31,687 jobs, followed by the United States with 30,084. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.

Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.

When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
