Experienced Recording Engineer ? Established Clientele *Location:* Toronto & Brampton, ON *Position:* Part-Time / Contract / Booking-Based *Compensation:* Competitive ? based on experience and booking structure Job Overview Studio of Legends is looking for *experienced recording engineers with an established client base* to join our professional engineering roster. This position is different from our Engineer Development Program. We are looking for established engineers who can provide an excellent recording experience from day one and have existing artists and clients who regularly book sessions with them. Studio of Legends provides professional recording facilities, equipment, infrastructure, marketing and opportunities to work with additional studio clients. We're looking for engineers who can bring their existing relationships into a professional studio environment while also becoming a trusted member of our team. What We're Looking For Applicants should have: * Professional recording engineering experience * Advanced Pro Tools proficiency * Strong vocal recording ability * Fast and organized session workflow * Strong understanding of vocal chains, signal flow, EQ, compression and processing * Experience working directly with paying clients * Existing repeat clientele * Strong communication and customer-service skills * Professional studio etiquette * Reliable availability * Ability to represent the Studio of Legends brand professionally Existing Clientele This position is specifically intended for engineers who already have an active client base. Applicants should be prepared to discuss: * How frequently their clients currently record * Typical monthly booking volume * Their current session rate * Whether their clients are willing to record at our Toronto/Brampton facilities * Examples of repeat clients * Their strategy for growing their clientele We are not looking for exaggerated claims or name-dropping. *Consistent bookings and repeat customers matter more to us than credits alone.* What Studio of Legends Provides * Professional commercial recording facilities * High-end recording equipment * Toronto and Brampton locations * Established studio clientele * Booking and operational infrastructure * Marketing opportunities * Opportunities to work with Studio of Legends clients * Potential opportunities involving artist and label projects * A professional environment to grow your client base Responsibilities * Engineer professional recording sessions * Maintain excellent client experiences * Bring and retain personal clientele * Accept Studio of Legends sessions when available * Maintain organized Pro Tools sessions * Follow studio operating procedures * Complete required session notes and closeouts * Maintain professional communication with staff and clients * Help generate repeat bookings * Protect studio equipment and maintain clean workspaces Performance Engineers are evaluated based on: * Client retention * Repeat bookings * Revenue generated * Personal clients brought into the studio * Recording quality * Client feedback * Reliability * Punctuality * Professionalism * Teamwork Important We are building a *team*, not simply providing rooms for independent engineers. We respect each engineer's individual style and experience, but all engineers representing Studio of Legends are expected to follow our customer-service and operational standards.
