*Job Overview* Economy Paving is seeking dependable, hardworking Construction Labourers to join our field team. This position supports commercial and civil development projects, with work focused on excavation and earthworks, asphalt paving, and subgrade preparation. Responsibilities * Assist with excavation, grading, backfilling, compaction, and site preparation. * Support paving crews with asphalt placement, raking, shovelling, and cleanup. * Prepare subgrade by removing unsuitable material, placing aggregate, and assisting with final grading. * Operate hand tools, compactors, pumps, and other small equipment. * Install construction signs, barricades, and traffic-control devices as required. * Perform equipment checks and keep work areas clean and organized. * Follow project safety procedures and report hazards or unsafe conditions. * Complete other general labour duties assigned by the Superintendent or Foreperson. Qualifications * Previous commercial, civil, earthworks, or paving experience is an asset. * Physically capable of performing demanding outdoor work and lifting construction materials. * Comfortable working around heavy equipment, trucks, and active construction areas. * Able to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a crew. * Reliable, punctual, and committed to safe work practices. * Valid driver?s licence and reliable transportation are preferred. * Safety certifications are considered an asset.
