Jason Heinmiller, Chartered Professional Accountant is a CPA firm located in Melville, SK. The firm offers business and agricultural clients accounting and tax services. We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to fill an accounting assistant position. The successful candidate will be required to work onsite at our office in Melville, SK, as this position does not support remote work. Responsibilities include: Review last year's files, collect and organize new client information; scan & file appropriatelyBookkeeping/summarizing client records Preparation of personal tax returns, which include farm or business statementsWork with teammates to plan and finish files on time.Help with general office tasks like answering phones and welcoming clientsOther duties as assigned Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:Completion of Grade 12 with Accounting 10 and/or some postsecondary course work in accounting is requiredA strong understanding of debits and creditsExceptional problem-solving skills and analytical thinkingKnowledge of farming an assetReliable and able to work independentlyConsistent attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication, and strong organizational skillsStrong motivation to learn and develop new skillsAbility to maintain confidentialityProficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)Experience with accounting software including Quick books, AgExpert, CaseWare, and Tax Prep is considered an asset Location Melville , SK Work location On site Salary $ 16.00 to $ 18.00 HOUR hourly Terms of employment Part time leading to full time Starts as soon as possible Source SaskJobs #1538047 Various locations Melville, SK
