Jason Heinmiller, Chartered Professional Accountant is a CPA firm located in Melville, SK. The firm offers business and agricultural clients accounting and tax services. We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to fill an accounting technician position. The successful candidate will be required to work onsite at our office in Melville, SK, as this position does not support remote work. Key Responsibilities:Provide account reconciliations and propose adjusting entriesPreparation of personal tax returns, which include farm or business statementsPreparation of year end work papers in CaseWare to support corporate tax returnsPreparation of GST/PST returnsPreparation of T4 and T5 slipsCollaborate with other team members on file planning and completion within time constraintsAssisting with general administrative tasks, such as answering phones and greeting clientsOther duties as assigned What we are looking for: The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes: 2+ years of public practice experienceStrong understanding of accounting foundations, including debits and creditsAccounting diploma or degree (an asset)Knowledge of farming is an asset Reliable and able to work independentlyConsistent attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication, and strong organizational skillsAbility to detect and solve problemsSound judgment regarding confidential information and sensitive mattersSystems thinker, able to see how parts fit into a wholeMotivation to learn and develop new skills, as well as the willingness and ability to teach othersHigh professional and ethical standardsProficiency in computer literacy, including experience with Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel, Word & Outlook)Technical competency with accounting software such as Quick books, AgExpert, CaseWare, and Tax Prep is an asset Location Melville , SK Work location On site Salary $ 22.00 to $ 24.00 HOUR hourly Terms of employment Full time Starts as soon as possible Source SaskJobs #1538051 Various locations Melville, SK
