*Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team and ensuring a positive experience for our patients. This position requires a blend of clinical expertise and interpersonal skills, as you will assist with various dental procedures, manage patient interactions, and maintain the efficiency of the practice. *Responsibilities* * Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. * Take radiographs (X-rays) as needed. * Provide excellent patient care by ensuring comfort and addressing any concerns during visits. * Maintain accurate patient records using dental software. Dentrix knowledge is an asset. * Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. * Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and follow-ups as a dental receptionist when required. * Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the dental office. *Skills* * Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and knowledge of medical terminology is essential. * Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix is highly desirable. * Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to maintain accurate records and manage multiple tasks effectively. * Excellent communication skills to interact positively with patients, families, and team members. * Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while also being proactive in individual responsibilities. * Knowledge of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) may be beneficial for specific dental procedures.
