Pond Mills Animal Hospital is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our growing and dynamic single-veterinarian practice. We are offering both full-time and part-time positions. *Key Qualifications* * Experience in an animal health setting * Advanced proficiency in AVImark software and quick adoption of clinic technology * Ability to show compassion and dedication to our valued clientele * Excellent stress management and customer service skills * Commitment to treating our furry patients as if they were your own * Strong communication skills, both with the team and clients * Detail-oriented and reliable approach * Ability to multitask and work well under pressure Responsibilities * Assist the veterinarian in routine examinations, surgeries, and dental procedures * Meticulous maintenance of controlled substance logs and drug inventory in compliance with regulatory standards * Client communication and follow-ups via phone and email * Performing routine lab work * Taking and processing X-rays * Surgery setup and anesthesia monitoring * Perform blood collections and required treatments on cats and dogs * Administer medications and injections as directed by the veterinarian * Monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures * Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and progress Employment Terms Full-time * 35-40 hours per week * Every other Saturday Part-time * 20-25 hours per week * Every other Saturday Operating Hours * Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM * Saturday: 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM * *Weekday shifts: 6-8 hours* * *Saturday shifts: 5 hours* * *Off on long weekends & public holidays* If you possess the required qualifications and are passionate about animal care, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
