Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work setting: Dental practice. Willing to relocate. Tasks: Prepare patients for dental examinations. Prepare plaster models and moulds. Order dental and office supplies. Prepare dental instruments and filling materials. Maintain and order supplies. Perform reception and clerical duties. Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment. Educate patients concerning oral hygiene. Prepare wax bite-blocks and impression trays. Schedule and confirm appointments. Record dental procedures performed on patients. Invoice patients for dental services. Fabricate and place temporary crowns and restorations. Take preliminary impressions for diagnostic casts. Policy and program experience: Dental health. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Ability to work independently. Personal suitability: Team player. Accurate. Reliability. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years. Employment terms options: Morning. Day.
