DRS Pivotal Power is part of the Leonardo DRS Naval Electronics group and has currently over 30,000 fielded units boasting a field reliability of over 99%.Job SummaryReporting to the Director, Business Operations, the Planner is responsible for end-to-end planning, scheduling, and execution control for production build orders and repair and overhaul work orders. The role ensures jobs are properly scoped, kitted, sequenced, and resourced to achieve on-time delivery, cost, and quality targets in accordance with company procedures and applicable standards.As a Production Planner, your main responsibilities will include (but not limited to):Interface start to completion in planning and coordinating the flow from receipt of customer order (new build or RMA/overhaul returns) through ERP planning, production/repair execution, and final shipment or return to the customerResponsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining MRP planning to support on-time delivery for both production and repair/overhaul ordersPlan, release, and manage production and repair/overhaul work orders based on demand, priorities, scope, and customer need datesPlan and monitor work orders on the production and repair floor; coordinate priorities, constraints, and schedule adherence with operationsConsolidate material demand and create purchase requisitions to support production and repair/overhaul requirementsTrack material from requisition through receipt of goods; identify and communicate critical parts/issuesRe-plan and re-sequence activities due to schedule changes, material availability, capacity constraints, engineering/configuration updates, or customer priority changesMaintain the integrity and accuracy of planning data in the ERP systemCoordinate configuration and engineering changes with purchasing, production/repair teams, and quality to ensure correct revisions and materials are usedSupport timely turnaround of Non-Compliance Reports (NCRs), including planning impacts for rework/repair actions and schedule recovery where requiredOther duties and projects may be assignedWhat you require to be successful in the role:Diploma/degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain/Operations Management3-7+ years planning/scheduling experience in manufacturing and/or repair/overhaulActive pursuit or completion of APICS/ASCM CPIM certification is considered an assetERP/MRP system experienceStrong organization, planning, analytical, and problem-solving skillsExcellent time management skills and able to prioritize and meet work schedulesKnowledge of product structures, configuration control, contract terminology, and ISO proceduresEffective written/verbal communication and strong interpersonal skillsSelf-motivated, able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-mix environmentCollaborative team player with proven ability to build positive working relationshipsBenefits of working with DRSA motivating team-based environment where your achievements matterAn opportunity to work on industry leading edge technologyFlexible work hours and a compressed work week to promote a healthy work/life balanceIndustry leading wellness program including:Health, dental, and vision coverage available on first day of hire at no cost to the employee with access to virtual healthcareAccess to Employee and Family Assistance ProgramCompetitive compensation including:Reimbursement for professional development initiatives and memberships plus access to free online learning resourcesRegistered Retirement Savings Plan with matching company contributions with access to complimentary financial Location Various locations Bedford , , NS
